Stayed here for a dance convention with my daughter. As soon as we walked in, there was a huge stain on the carpet right in front of the door and another next to the bed. We realized the next morning that there also several smaller stains all over the carpet. The floor in the bathroom and the tub also did not appear particular cleaned well. There were no facial tissues in the bathroom either (during allergy season). I needed to write something down and also realized there was no paper or pen in the desk. I went to the desk to report the stains the following morning to ensure that we hadn't made the mess so we wouldnt get charged and they said "don't worry about it" but didn't say anything about sending anyone to clean it. The night before check out, I called the desk to ask if I could extend my checkout and the desk person told me "yes" but that I had to go to the desk at 7AM; I went to the desk at 7AM and was told that only the supervisor could do it and wasn't coming in until 10AM (checkout is at 11AM). Also, the room was VERY hot. Our 2nd day, the temp was at 81 degrees F even though I had set the A/C on high and put it all the way down to 68. It took SEVERAL hours just to bring the temp down to 76. The Starbucks in the building only stays open until 4PM which seems silly considering how packed the hotel was for the convention and the lack of other places to eat for anyone without a car. For the amount of money paid, it was not the great experience, though I will say the view of NYC at night was beautiful.
Rooms smelled like cigarettes and front desk couldn’t find our reservation.
