I have been staying here for many years and love the Ocean View experience with the otters and other marine life. The hotel is iconic and comfortable. Having the ability to open the windows an allow fresh sea air is delectable. The restaurant food is also consistent in both the Coastal Kitchen and Schooners.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Monterey Plaza hotel, the service was impeccable and the ocean view rooms were just breathtaking to wake up to! I love Monterey but honestly this hotel is what made our vacation. Myrna was fantastic and helped us to upgrade our room when we arrived and Keano was so thoughtful to offer the cutest teepee for our son to have in the room. Our dinner at coastal kitchen was AMAZING. We had the chef’s menu with the wine pairing and Hannah and Rachel were the absolute BEST! This pairing was “elevated yet approachable” and probably one of our top wine dinners. Cheers to Conrad too for making this pairing so awesome. AND THEN THE BRUNCH…. Chef’s kiss! We will definitely be back to both the hotel AND this restaurant. Thank you for making my husband’s birthday one for the books!

Lovely room, helpful staff. Nice view of the harbor with seals coming in to the nearby beach in the evening. We had a room with a balcony.
