Hampton Inn and Suites is our hotel of choice and wherever we stay we are always greeted with a hearty welcome. However, the person manning the front desk when we checked in was not friendly, never smiled and was not welcoming at all. She never offered us our complimentary bottles of water and was rude when I asked for them. We were on the road when I made the reservation and I thought I had made it directly on the hotel website, but when I asked her to include that stay on my member account, she rudely told me it wasn't eligible because I had made the reservation thru expedia, which I never saw on the confirmation. We were very disappointed since our experience there was unlike anything we had ever encountered at a Hampton Inn.

When travel takes us to the Wilmington, DE area we always stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Christiana. We know we’ll always get a clean quiet room and a wonderful breakfast while there. Worth returning to time and again.
Very nice and clean rooms.
We stopped half way point in 15 hour drive home. Arrival and check in was seamless and room was comfortable.
Overall a good visit we did have to request house keeping on the 4th day as no one came around on day two or three.

I was very disappointed when we reached Hampton Inn in Newark. I went there because I was having an early morning surgery at the hospital. I live in Virginia. The hospital said to go to the front desk and get a voucher so I did before we checked in at the hotel the hotel says they could not use the voucher because the reservation was through a third party collar. I looked up the number online to Newark Delaware, thinking I would call directly to the hotel but I did not evidently I lost about $120 to the woman at the desk says nothing that she could do because when I called it went to a third party caller even though when I called the number Online, it was saying I was going to talk to the hotel in Newark. This was very deceiving and I really think it was unfair.

The staff was very helpful and courteous and the room was comfortable. Bathroom needs updates as it is showing wear and tear.
Room was clean, only one con was there were only two sets of towels for the two of us, no extras.
