Stoney Creek has been one of my favorite hotels until this stay I called the number on line The receiver of my call was very personable however when I told him I was staying with a group at a discounted rate. He told me there was no discounted rate. That was the start of upsetting When I arrived they told me I had booked with Expedia and they could not give me the reduced rate of 109 per night. They said I could not cancel and rebook at the better rate. Frustrating as I had no idea Expedia was involved. The room was quite a distance to walk. Usually I request a handicap accessible room. I did not this time and the walk was too far and tub difficult to get into When I got to the room I found a dirty room, no hand towels, refrigerator coffee maker but no cups. The bedside table had coffee mug rings and stains on top of it I just laid down and prayed the sheets had been changed and there were no bedbugs. The hotel breakfast was appreciated and good but slow and cold with running out of foods. I thinkwith all this you can see the reason for the rating.
I book a room thru Expieda. They showed what the room looked liked and what it offered.When I got the room it was nothing like what was advertised. I called front desk and the person was rude and told me that they could not do any thing about it, very poor coustmer service. I will not go back to Stoney Creek and or use Expedia again. I would give them both a 0 rating for false advertising and coustmer service.
