I’ve stayed at many La Quinta’s and had great experiences. This one in Oakland was terrible, I called the hotel directly (I thought) to book room, I stated I wanted the stay and fly package with shuttle service,my reservation stated I would be leaving my car for 8 days. When I drove into the lot the shuttle van had a BIG FOR SALE SIGN on it, so no shuttle service, then the desk said it would be an extra $80 charge for the parking. With no shuttle service it didn’t make sense to park there, so in morning just drove to airport and parked there.also you might want to send a elevator repair company out to check the elevator, I only sent my bags up and down it and took stairs,that elevator shook and shimmy the three floors. I’m very disappointed in that Oakland hotel.
The room that I had was quiet, clean and peaceful. That’s exactly what I was looking for. The keys to the rooms don’t work well and I had to go down a long hallway with all of my belongings two to three times because the keys wouldn’t work. That was extremely frustrating and exhausting for me. After the third time they sent someone to help me. That was frustrating at best. Outside of that my stay was fine.
The room was clean and comfy. I would recommend this Inn to anyone.
