Ventura Beach Marriott
The cool thing about Ventura Beach Marriott is its proximity to Ventura City Beach and San Buenaventura State Beach, both within a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
I was very impressed with the staff.
Will be back again to stay.
This location has much to be desired. I stayed here many times when it was a Doubletree. Arrived in late evening; a dark parking lot with dim lighting invites trouble; front desk attendant on night of arrival acted as though I was bothering him; no eye contact from him; next morning, I came downstairs to ask a question; the front desk attendant was defensive and snooty. How did they get such an important job to treat your guests like this. I won’t return. I stayed there (July one 3, 2025) only because I had fond memories of it from the 1990s when it was Doubletree. I was disappointed. Marriott, you know you can do better. Hire better people like you do with your higher end hotels. I can’t recommend this location. A waste of more than $500 for twin Lo nights.
