This hotel was clean and comfortable.
The place had an odd smell not good stale, kind of like old smoking area. The first two rooms given to us both had broken air conditioners. Stains on carpet. Bathroom didn't have exhaust fan. Staff was fairly nice.
Staff is really great top one hotel in Springfield il.

Decent stay.
Overall good rooms and helpful staff. Beds were comfortable and clean. Lots of towels in the bathroom. Plenty of space for parking. Downsides were the hotel does not have a website, all bookings have to be through 3rd party sites. I didn't realize the site I used wasn't their website and it had outdated info on breakfast. They haven't served breakfast in a long time. I recommend the hotel check these sites to make sure info is current.
Building is showing a bit of wear. No breakfast, no bar, no on site shop to buy cold water and snacks. So, pro tip: Bring your own. In room coffee is set up for black coffee only no creamer or sugar. Outside garbage can is overflowing. Rooms had scant paper products but seemed clean enough. Fridge was adequate and clean on inside just the outside was dented, etc. No microwave. So, if you set your expectations accordingly and pack some water, snacks, cream and sugar for coffee, location is great if visiting the Capitol and parking is free.
