Where to start. ah! There is a weed dispensary in the parking lot as you pull into the motel lot. The person who checked me in at the window was very nice. Best part of the stay. I parked right in front of my room, then I went in. dear God. There was a deadbolt, but no extra security clasp that is on most lodging doors. There were tears in the blackout shades, so when I drew them closed, I had to arrange them to block out views to the outside. There were plaster patches in the corners of the room, presumably filling in places where mice have gotten in. The bed was actually at an angle, with the foot of the bed being five or 10 degrees higher than the head of the bed. I was afraid to lift the mattress for fear of what might be under there. The room had a funnier than normal smell. Then I checked out the bathroom. and the shower creeped me out. There was leftover something in the drain and the shower curtain had a see through panel on it when drawn that should've been clear, but it was amber to orange in most areas. Then, surprise! Come around 10:50pm I had a knock at my door. Not expecting anyone, I checked my phone and had no messages from the motel, so I ignored it. At 2am there were another TWO knocks at my door. I went to the door and asked who it was and a voice said, "Come on, man, open the door! You know who dis is!" I said I have no idea who you are and at that the person walked away. I left the lights on as I went to sleep and got a very poor night's sleep as I kept one eye open. Not a good experience from someone who isn't very picky. I'll be more discerning next time.
