My place of choice when going to the Mayo Clinic. This trip we stayed in room 433. Very handicap accessible.
Hotel and amenities were very good.
There could not be a handier location to stay when going for medical help at Mayo! The staff is outstanding in helpfulness and friendliness! The Valet service is so great! The Gran Essex is wonderful and love the Old Country feel!

The onsite restaurant, Grand Grill, offers a full classic American breakfast menu. Open everyday 7am - 9:00pm. We can customize and create a grab-and-go breakfast for your group needs though for an additional cost.

It is so convenient to stay the night before near Mayo Clinic to avoid the stress of parking and arriving for early morning tests and appointments; you can just walk over in the "subway" and you don't need to bring your coat! The Kahler staff is very familiar with guests and their medical needs, they are welcoming and reassuring. We come back to Mayo periodically and Kahler is a comfortable and familiar place to stay!

If you're at the Kahler Grand, it's most likely because you're at Mayo Clinic. So while the reason for the stay is trying, this hotel is simply THE BEST. Outstanding customer service. Everyone (all hotel staff, cleaning crew, restaurant and bar staff) is so calm, professional, warm, friendly and nice. When you've had a day at the Mayo, it's nice to come "home" to Kahler where it really does feel like your home away from home. Great hotel, awesome restaurants with great food and service, SUPER clean rooms, one of the most comfortable beds. Thank you for providing excellence and warmth for so many.
