The Lord Elgin has great rooms and is in a prize location in Ottawa. Our particular room had windows on two walls, although I don't know whether that is true of all rooms, but it was spacious and bright. We also went to the hotel restaurant which was wonderful.

My sister and I were in Ottawa for a memorial service and felt very comfortable at the hotel. The rooms were lovely and the beds comfortable. We had several meals in the dining room and all were thoroughly enjoyed. We would certainly return in the future.

Would highly recommend the experience of staying at the Lord Elgin hotel, for the historical elegance, great service, top notch food service very comfortable rooms. After booking rooms for two parties and then having to had another night in another room, the desk agent re configured my booking to have our rooms beside each other and make the one booking in one room. It made for a very easy arrangement with our extended family.

Stayed in Ottawa overnight to see a show. The Lord Elgin is a classic hotel with a charming decor allowing guests to get glimpses back to the hotel's heyday. It is our default choice when attending any event at the National Arts Centre which is literally across the street, allowing us to walk to the events without concern for parking or hired services. The walk-in shower was fantastic, large and spacious. Service requests were all handled immediately without the need to ask a second time. I highly appreciate when requests are immediately addressed and do not need to be asked for numerous times. All of the staff was polite, friendly and cordial. I make a point to acknowledge each and every staff member I pass, thanking them for their work and service. The property was very clean and well maintained. As always we will be happy to return to the Lord Elgin on future visits to Ottawa.
