The staff on our check in was very nice and helpful. The room was ok. We took off the comforters as we noticed visible stains. Motel needs lots of upkeep. There were open outlet covers. There was rust and erosion around the air conditioning unit that was all over the carpet. Did not see bugs but heard they have had problems in the past. Property was clear of trash but the stairway smelled of urine for our last couple of days. There is only one elevator so prepare for a long wait. We could not find a luggage cart so we had to make several trips up and down to bring up luggage. Staff told us that er had to go to the neighboring sister hotel for the carts. We had to beg for a vacuum to clean the room and it did not come until the following morning even after three calls to the desk. I had to stop one of the housekeepers to ask to use hers. She was very nice about it. I also asked for a broom the next day and just kept it until our stay ended. While we did not have any major problems we probably won’t stay here for a week again.
