Clean Room
This hotel is a great place to stay in the Santa Barbara area. It is right off the freeway, so very convenient and I did appreciate the fact that they don’t clean your room every single day but let you dictate when it needs to be done. The atmosphere is very pleasant. The courtyard is lovely.
Quaint, clean with all the amenities you could ask for! The pool is small but clean and heated ! The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. It’s in a nice area which is about a mile away from nice eateries. I will be returning!
We splurged on this trip to Carpinteria to stay at the Best Western. The staff seemed less than excited to be there. The vending machines did not work properly and when I asked for help I was told that the staff was "not authorized to work on the vending machines". Both doors in the hotel room were very hard to open and upon exit one of your larger doors was completely off it's hinge and sitting on the floor. The bar server was less than knowledgeable about wine, when I asked her for a sauvignon blanc she asked me "what that was". There are multiple charges from the Best Western on my credit card, for what? I'll have to make that call which should not be needed! We love the Best Western's beautiful courtyard gardens but is the rest worth it?.
Pleasant staff, quiet room, great dining, excellent service, lovely courtyard and balconies.
While the property was pretty my room was not clean at all. The sink did not function and it backed up immediately with any use of water. The area behind the bed and dressers were filthy.
